Cómo pedir y dar direcciones en inglés

Para encontrar un lugar en una ciudad, empieza con Excuse me y pregunta: Where is the station? Is there a bank near here? How do I get to the museum? También puedes preguntar Is it far from here? y How long does it take?

Cuando das indicaciones, usa instrucciones cortas: Go straight on. Turn left. Turn right. Go past the bank. Take the second street on the left. Cross the road. Usa puntos de la calle, como el semáforo (the traffic lights) o el final de la calle.

Para decir dónde está un lugar, usa palabras de lugar: next to, opposite, on the corner, between, behind, on your left. Termina con You can't miss it, o It's about five minutes on foot. Si no entiendes, pregunta Sorry, can you repeat that, please?

Aquí tienes un diálogo modelo. Tourist: Excuse me, how do I get to the museum? Local: Go straight on and turn left at the traffic lights. It's opposite the park. Tourist: Is it far from here? Local: No, it's about five minutes on foot. You can't miss it. Tourist: Thanks a lot for your help.
