Comparativos y superlativos
Un comparativo compara dos cosas. Un superlativo destaca una dentro de un grupo.
- Adjetivos cortos:
- Añade -er y than: tall → taller than. Para un grupo, usa the + -est: the tallest.
- Adjetivos largos:
- Usa more/most: more interesting than; the most interesting.
- Ortografía:
- Big → bigger → the biggest; happy → happier → the happiest.
- Formas irregulares:
- Good → better → the best; bad → worse → the worst.
Ejemplos
This bag is bigger than that one.
Compara dos bolsos con -er than.
Anna is the tallest student.
Usa the + -est para destacar una persona del grupo.
This book is more interesting than that one.
Los adjetivos largos suelen llevar more.
This is the best day.
Best es el superlativo irregular de good.
My room is smaller than yours.
Con small, la comparación se forma con -er: smaller.

Cómo funcionan las comparaciones en inglés
Los comparativos comparan dos personas o cosas. Los adjetivos cortos suelen llevar -er y than: This room is smaller than that one. Los más largos suelen llevar more: This book is more interesting than that one.
Los superlativos destacan una persona o cosa dentro de un grupo. Usa the con -est o most: the smallest room, the most interesting book.
Algunos adjetivos comunes cambian por completo. Good pasa a better y the best; bad pasa a worse y the worst. Los ejercicios anteriores repasan formas regulares e irregulares.
